About PTE

PTE Academic is a computer-based English-language academic assessment designed for international students seeking to study at universities in English-speaking countries. This exam assesses the four key areas of language ability: reading, writing, listening and speaking. Questions require the test-taker to use two skills together, such as listening and speaking, or reading and speaking. The exam is administered in one 3-hour session and is conducted in a secure testing environment at a computer.

Utilizing the most advanced technology available, PTE Academic affords all test takers tremendous convenience. Generally, test results are available within 5 business days, and PTE Academic offers worldwide testing at more than 250 locations in over 50 countries.
